Asthma NZ welcomes our new CEO

Asthma New Zealand are pleased to welcome Claire Beard, as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Claire brings impressive credentials to the role, with 20 years in CEO and senior leadership roles in the Not-For-Profit sector, most recently as Head of Women’s Rugby at NZ Rugby, and prior to this as CEO of Triathlon New Zealand, where she led major strategy and commercial transformational change. Claire has a wealth of experience, in the health, sport and wellbeing sectors, with a reputation for developing clear strategies, a positive team culture and achieving social impact outcomes. Claire has a huge passion for ensuring all New Zealanders live happy, healthy lives, and we know she will continue to drive outcomes, and advocate for those living with Asthma and COPD in New Zealand.

Chair of the Board, Scott Green said “the board and I are delighted to have Claire join the team, and see her continue to build on the great work Asthma New Zealand deliver for our community. We are looking forward to welcoming her to the organisation.” 

Claire will commence her new role with Asthma New Zealand on Monday 24th June 2024.
